The province of Qatif is located in the eastern part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Al Qatif Oasis is located in the eastern part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The importance of the development of Riyadh Street in Qatif to be the axis parallel to the Auhud street reduces the pressure of traffic flows and increase access to neighborhoods and on the other hand connects the city of Qatif  with Dhahran-Jubail road to increase the accessibility to Al Qatif from the rest of northern and southern cities of the eastern region.

Al Ryiadh Road is a main collector urban road with average design speed of 70km/hr and average width of 60 m. Al Ryiadah road services mainly to collect all the traffic from adjacent urban neighborhood heading to the Tarout main area through the bridge. Al Ryiadah road challenged with several heavy congested intersections with average low level of service on those intersections.

IHCG main scope of work was to create all necessary traffic studies to propose operational solutions for all intersections in addition to conduct the reasonable geometric layout modifications in according to Saudi and international codes.

IHCG undertakes the design of the main segments and intersections with detailed design for traffic signals, marking, signs details, in addition to overlay structure design, geometric layout, new cross section, parking layouts for on-street and available parking lots on the sides of the road. Proposed level of service on the road reached C on most of intersections and segments coming up from F.
